Solving Self-Service Problems With Just In Notifications – Part 2: QR Code Joining

Solving Self-Service Problems With Just In Notifications – Part 2: QR Code Joining

BY PARKER MITCHELL

How many of you all have been to a restaurant within the past few months and were initially confused that no menus were brought out for your table?  Me too.  I’m right there with you on that.

How many were also impressed with the ability to look at their menu by scanning a QR code on your phone? It is a cool concept and easy to implement for just about anything internet related.  If there is a website you want your customers to go to, then all you have to do is create a QR code for it at a website such as this.  Then, you figure out how you want to market the QR code at your business.  You can put it on a big poster with marketing material around it to explain what it can do for your customer.  You can also print out a normal sheet of paper like many restaurants do with instructions on how to do it.  For those of you who do not yet know how QR codes work, it is very simple:

Step 1: Pull out your phone and open the camera app

Step 2: Point the camera at the QR code as if you are about to take a picture of it

Step 3: A window should appear on your phone prompting you to click on it to go to the desired URL

So how does this relate to Just In Notifications?  If you remember from my last blog post on Just In Notifications, I explained there are four ways to join just in:

#1: Via text after joining at your front check-in station

#2: Just In station near exit

#3: Inventory page on Website

#4: FaceBook Page

Well, with QR Codes, we can now add that as a viable option.  Customers can scan your Just In QR Code while they are at your store if you think this is an easier way of doing it.

If you want to see how this would work, then open up the camera app on your phone and scan the QR code below.

Let me know if you are interested in adding QR code capabilities for your salvage yard.  If you have not yet, then also join our FaceBook Forum!
