Sister Yard Check-Ins and Shared Rewards

Sister Yard Check-Ins and Shared Rewards

BY PARKER MITCHELL

Many yards have multiple locations within a couple hours of each other.  When we encounter situations such as this, then we want to make sure all locations can work cohesively together.  This can get complicated, but we have successfully worked to find solutions in these situations so all locations work collectively.

For example, here is a fictitious scenario: Texn Rewards Salvage Yard Company has 5 locations: McKinney, Allen, Plano, Frisco, and Dallas, TX.

If I was the CEO of Texn Rewards Salvage Yard Company, then I may want to know how many customers have visited multiple of these locations.  There may be certain questions I want answered such as “How many customers have ever been to both the McKinney AND Allen locations?” or “How many customers have ever been to the McKinney, Allen, AND Frisco locations?”  Right now, we have the ability to answer these questions by making a Target List of customers who have joined multiple locations with the AND condition.  This means they must have joined the McKinney AND Allen kiosk, for instance.  If you are looking for data such as this, then let us know and we will get it.

As the CEO, I also may want to know the answer to “How many customers visited multiple locations on a certain day?” Right now, we can also answer this question.  We are planning on adding Sister Yard Check-Ins to our Texn Rewards reports for yards who have multiple locations.  Right now, we have the ability to add it do the daily Check-Ins report.  However, our Sister Yard Check-Ins are counted on a day-to-day basis right now.  If someone checked in at multiple locations on the same day, then each check-in after the first check-in is counted as a Sister Yard Check-In.  We plan to expand this to a date range so you know within a certain weekend, week, or month how many customers visited multiple yards.

As the CEO, I may also be considering opening up a sixth location in the Dallas area and am wondering where the best place to do so would be.  To do this, I may want to know where all of the customers are coming from.  We can collect Zip Code data at each location and export the data to determine which counties and cities they are coming from.

The best part about Sister Yard Check-Ins for your customers are the shared rewards.  Customers are only allowed one check-in towards the next reward every business day.  However, they can visit any yard each day to earn that check-in.  Each yard is not independent of the other yards so it benefits the customer to have shared rewards.

We would love to hear your feedback on our Sister Yard Check-In process so we can make sure it provides value.
