How Many Message Credits Do I Have Left?

How Many Message Credits Do I Have Left?

BY PARKER MITCHELL

Every month, you get a set number of message credits to start the month with.  Messages go out in multiple different ways (Welcome Messages, Time Delayed Messages, Loyalty Rewards, Inactive Offers, Broadcasts, Trigger Messages, and Just In Messages).  It can be a lot to keep track of how many messages are going out of each different type of message each month.  If you want an overview of how many messages you sent last month and so far this month, then all you have to do is login to your Client Portal and check your Dashboard.

The example I am showing is our house account which only is used for demos, so the numbers will be much different than your numbers.  You can see that we sent 37 messages from 9/1 – 9/30 out of our house account and so far we have sent 16 in October.  The number next to “(In)” represents how many messages were received and “(Out)” represents how many messages were sent.  Inbound messages are not counted in your total when determining how many message credits are remaining.  You can also see we have 984 messages remaining for the month.  Once again, these numbers will be much different than your numbers because our packages start at 5,000 messages per month.  You may also have messages added to your account from customer referrals or message reloads.  Message reloads are usually an automatic reload once “# Remaining Credits” reaches zero.  We have to pay for each message that is sent, therefore, we need to add more messages when you run out.  Message reloads are billed at the same rate as normal messages, but they roll over to the following month if not used.

We do not want you to continuously get reloads because we want the billing to be simple and predictable.  If you do get more than one reload within a one month period, then we need to review your account and make sure you are on the right plan.  We may need to increase your monthly message volume or utilize target lists in order to make sure you stay within your monthly budget.
